Covid-19 Response

Each year, Goya donates millions of pounds of food in times of disaster and desperate need through the company’s global program Goya Gives. When the pandemic hit in March 2020, Goya kept working 24/7 to make sure that supermarkets were stocked and food banks were filled with healthy products for people most affected by the pandemic. In total, Goya donated over 4.5 million pounds of food throughout the United States and worldwide through Goya’s “Working for Our Country” campaign. With the help of many partner organizations, food banks, food pantries, and soup kitchens, the food was distributed directly to those facing food insecurity and hardships from the direct impact of COVID. In addition, when many hospitals and healthcare providers were short of protective masks, Goya purchased and distributed 20,000 protective masks for organizations in need.
