Venezuelan-Style Carlota de Limón

If you like key lime pie or Mexican Lime Maria IceBox Cake, you’ll love this creamy, dessert: the wonderful Venezuelan-style No-Bake Lime Marquesa. Prepare individual portions easily by creating crunchy and tasty layers with crushed GOYA® Maria Cookies, and a creamy mixture of lime juice, heavy cream, lime zest, and GOYA® Sweetened Condensed Milk. Chill in the refrigerator and when ready to serve, garnish each portion with more lime zest and Maria Cookies; simply delicious! These marquesas are fantastic for every celebration.

½ cup

GOYA® Lime Juice , or fresh lime juice

2 tbsp.

lime zest, plus more for garnish

1½ pkg.

Directions

Step 1

In a blender, blend sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, lime juice, zest and salt together until combined, about 1 minute.

Step 2

Using a spoon, spread a few tablespoons of lime mixture evenly on bottom of 12, 6-ounce glass cups. Using your hands, break cookies roughly into 1/2-inch pieces. Sprinkle roughly 2 tablespoons of crushed cookies evenly over lime mixture. Repeat layers 3 more times, ending with a layer of lime mixture. Refrigerate for at least 8 hours, or overnight.

Step 3

Garnish with additional lime zest and cookies. Serve and enjoy.
